The International Whitefly Symposium (IWS) is a series of specialized scientific meetings that resulted out of the merger of the International Bemisia Workshop (IBWS) and the European Whitefly Symposium (EWS). The Symposium aims to foster research and education around a broad range of whitefly related issues regarding local, national and global interests. Topics to be discussed will include: taxonomy/systematics/evolution, genomes and proteomics, ecology, virus-vector-plant interactions, epidemiology, endosymbiont communities and integrated pest management.
