An Entomological Congress, with the emphasis on the advancement of entomology on the African continent, is held every second year under the auspices of the Entomological Society of Southern Africa. The congresses attract delegates mostly from southern Africa but also from further afield.
These stimulating gatherings provide an ideal opportunity for meeting and interacting with fellow entomologists and for exchanging ideas and new information through formal presentations, workshops and informal gatherings.
